In Dalaman is a station building without any connection to the rail network. Originally, the hunting enthusiastic Ottoman viceroy of Egypt Abbas II. 1905 had planned the construction of its own hunting lodge. At the same time he planned the construction of a train station in Egypt. However, as the shiploads along with building plans cluttered, the workers in Dalaman received the instructions and materials of the actually planned in Egypt station. Thus, instead of the hunting lodge, a train station with ticket office and allegedly even rails was built. Today it is the seat of the local Chamber of Agriculture.
On the Dalaman river of the same name, the Akköprü dam was built in 2008.
